Click Book Now to RSVP for guaranteed entry.Kendall Jane Meade is a solo artist and founder of the band Mascott. She has released two EPs and three full-length albums under the moniker Mascott. Jon Pareles of The New York Times describes her best: If Aimee Mann had fended off cynicism, she might sound like Kendall Meade, the songwriter and singer of Mascott…turn(ing) folk-rock into stately pop, wrapping vulnerability and longing in quietly radiant arrangements. Meade is an accomplished singer and musician who has contributed to albums or played/sang live with Sparklehorse, Helium, The Spinanes, Lloyd Cole, Gramercy Arms, Stars, and many more. She is also a member of the folk-rock duo Anders and Kendall. The first Kendall Jane Meade album, SPACE, was released on Mother West on February 28th, 2025. The first single off of the album, Id Like to Know Myself, has recently been featured on 88.5 The SoCal Sound as a local artist spotlight, and the album has received critical praise. Craig Benedict Valentine Badynee sometimes brooding, sometimes boisterouswith a theatrical panache and a cutting lyrical wit. Backed by a genre-blurring ensemble of family, neighbors, and seasoned players from PEEL and Darling, CBVB crafts richly constructed songs that balance emotional depth with sly humor.Richard Alwyn and Keir Woods are The King Canutes. Hailing from Brooklyn and London, respectively, they double down on and embrace the dynamic tension found in the singer-songwriter duo of The Go-Betweens and the long-distance, long-haul commitment of The Postal Service. The crowned crusaders met in Brooklyn in the early 2000s, playing in NYCs cosmopolitan pop/indie rock scene, and collecting collaborators and conspirators along the way. With Woods supplying a sonorous true folk voice of Northern England, Alwyn plays the scrappy Replacements-style Middlewesterner.Their new record features luminaries Dave Derby (Dambuilders, Gramercy Arms, Lloyd Cole), Kendall Meade (Sparklehorse, Mascott), Kevin March (Guided by Voices), Mac Gollehon (David Bowie, James Chance and tons more), Mike Dillon (Rickie Lee Jones), John Leon, David Nagler, and Verena Wiesendanger. Derby, Meade, Leon and Doug McEachern (Suraj Song in Stag) will join with Alwyn and Woods to round out the touring party. Up-tempo songs prove the underlying melancholy hasnt (quite) beaten them down while gorgeous melodies are tempered with dented triumphs The King Canutes will be your new best friends.
